Just a reminder to all members we will be holding elections soon. It time to consider if you are going to be running for a leadership position, or nominating someone for a position. This is just a heads up. Elections will be held in December.
 
Most likely through email. Details will be sent out in a timely manner

During the spring meeting it was voted on to move the elections to the end of the year. This way a new BOD would have the full use of the new year to start in Jan to plan the schedule.

Anyone considering a leadureship role needs to be a club member as well as a TLCA member.

Once we've worked through the membership list an email will be sent out to them as well.

For those who might have allowed their membership to lapse and would like to renew please PM me.

We were conducting the voting at our spring meeting. At the spring meeting there is only a small representation o the club. Through email everyone will get to vote not just those in attendance at the meeting.

I don't think we've had a true election for some time.
 
Yes it was suppose to be November. I remember. People are on vaca in December.

I know. Myself and Niall talked about it extensively and while we knew what we were saying it didn't vomute

Our biggest concern was loosing club rights to trails due to waiting for the vote to happen.

If you remember we asked for your help in securing monthly trails that you did the previous year.

I remember, usually NEA opens trail reservations in Jan though last year I think it went later.

Doesn't that make squaring away elections and club business before December more important?

As you know there's a lot to try to get a handle on when you step into a club leadership role, throwing trail reservations on top of all that is rough.
 
I took the notes from that meeting and it was stated and agreed upon that nominations would be expressed in Oct. Ballots would go out on Nov 15th and elections would be held no later than Dec 15th. I am the recording secretary and that is what was recorded.
 
How do nominations work? Someone, a member in good standing, nominates you and then you accept? Can you nominate yourself?
