If you put the 488 ratio in your cruiser what size tyres would bring all the driveline etc back to std ratio

Jesus, with 4.30's I can barely move in low gear! and highway speeds would be reving like a bastard. I was hoping someone would come out with a 4.10!

Low as in lowrange or 1st gear ,i think you have to much power then mate:)

LOL. ACtually with the 36's I find that it is set up just right, any smaller a tire and it is too low for wheeling around here. We don't have the Moab type of rock stuff, mainly mud with a combo of rock and mud. And you know what the 79 series first gear is like:)

So you dont think 35's /or 315's would kill my 1fz with std diff ratio?i mainly do sand tracks and beach work but as for your quote

And you know what the 79 series first gear is like:)
I know what 3rd gear was like last weekend with hard tyres, belting up huge sand dunes past 2 turbo diesel nissan patrols with their tyres let rite down :D:D

If they are 4.30's you will be alright. But that is with my diesel, not sure what power your truck is running but it should be pretty good. And you have the r151 tranny right?

Ive asked this question before about what ratio my 79 would have and i got 2 different answers some say 411 some say 433 i also need to know the 105series diff ratio for when i coil the rear of my 79 unless the rear 79/105 diff is interchangable My 79 runs the h151gearbox

doesnt matter, point of the matter is if your running 35's, you need 4.56's , if it has 4.3's you could be right for now , but no way on 4.11s, you'd be burning that clutch big time lol
