FYI: FZJ80 Instrument Clusters Not Interchangable (1 Viewer)

My odometer recently stopped working. I searched on Mud and it seemed like the consensus was that any FZJ cluster would work.

My Rig:
1993 "Federal Model" OBDI

Donor Rig:
1996 OBDII

Everything plugged in fine, but when I powered up the "cruise" light came on with the e-brake and center diff light wouldn't turn off. It turns out several of the lights are in different locations. My 93 has the center diff on the right near the front and rear diff lights. The donor rig it was on the left.

Rather than swapping the whole cluster I just swapped the speedometer/odometer and everything worked just fine.

Thought I would shoot out the FYI.

Good info and thanks for posting...but I would not expect that much, interior-wise, would be swappable from '93-'94 to '95-'97.

The FSM EWD are different from 96 to 95. When it come to wiring, stay in the same year!
