I spent a week up in the monitors hunting. The last 3 days of which we played "dodge the rain and lighting."
It got so bad that we had to leave the mountains to head down to Antelope valley to the east for fear of lighting and flash floods. The trail we took up to camp had several water crossings at the beginning of the trip, and they were only getting bigger! The last days hunt was ruined by a lighting fire. We did our good dead though and directed a fire crew into the area where it was.
