The control arms that I used made the wheelbase so long that the angle on the Airshocks was crazy. I had unloading problems with the Airshocks on my Cherokee when then were angled so I wanted to make sure that does not happen again.

Right now it sits at 119. I think that it is going to be a little long but it is easier to shorten it than lengthen it so I'm just going to wheel it and see.

I got the shell of the center console done and lathed and bent the trans shifter.

Nice work Jonathan.

I'm gonna have to look into finding a similar machine shop deal around Greensboro.
Thats a nice card to have.

Yeah I love being able to have the right tools to do it myself. I just got a 4'x8' sheet of 1/4" steel to make some beadlocks, but I will have some extra if you wanted me to make anything let me know.

The fab shop that I have access to just got a Torchmate CNC plasma table with a 12' x 12' table. Can't wait to try it out!

Nice. Its amazing what you can do with those things. Where is that located at?

Got my battery box made up and mounted tonight.

Well...I was busy tonight, got some more wiring done, and also designed the skid plate and made it too.
Here is the design of the skid plate:

And here is the skid plate once I cut it out on the CNC plasma:

Damn, i miss this thing. I call first dibs on it if you ever sell it. I had some amazing times in this cruiser. My first rig. Got it when i was 15 after saving all year. Got it from a guy in gastonia who tried to sell me some "fighting chickens" with it. Being young and dumb in highschool with a cruiser on tons and a V8...good times. Cut my teeth in fabrication on this thing. The bumper that is still on there was the very first thing I built with a specific purpose. Take a tape to it...pretty sure it is 1-3" off center :D.

When I started.....yea...too clean.

That is pretty cool. That 3rd and 4th pic are exaclty how I would want my 40 to look if I had one...... maybe a bit bigger tires

Thats awesome man....I really cannot wait to get that thing going !! I still cannot believe that I ended up getting the tires that were on it in the past.
