Fun Day Saturday May 19

Thought I would start a thread here for RSVP's and the like. There will also be details in the March and April Newsletter.

For those that have been, well, you already know the deal. For those that are new, here's the deal:

Fun Day started several years ago at Butch Lewis' place, as sort of a spring picnic get together. We continue that theme, but now out at the Henry's place outside of Guerneville. James and Amy have a big spread, with a rock pile to play on, and some trails to run around on. It's a social event, mostly just hanging out and chatting.

I'll be cooking up tri tip once again, as well as some chicken breasts and hot dogs for the kids. PMC will provide all of the food and non-alcoholic drinks (water, Capri suns for the kids, some generic sodas from costco). If you are a member of PMC, it's a free event, but we ask that you bring a prize for the raffle. Your immediate family is free (spouse, children). If you want to bring guests, it's $10 each. As a reminder, annual dues for PMC is $20. You do the math

You'll want to bring chairs of course. And shade if you want it. There will be an outhouse on site. We've had issues getting the jump house out to the Henry's place, so unless someone has an "in", I don't know if we'll be able to get one this year. We're working on it, but could use assistance.

Besides chicken and beef, there will be some side dishes (pasta, salad, etc). We're trying to keep our expenses reasonable, so if you are coming, we'll need an RSVP.

Please let us know the following:

Your name.

Number of total guests (including yourself)

Number of chicken eaters (we're assuming most eat beef).

We need the RSVP by May 12, 2007. If you don't RSVP, we'll be short on food. And that would be a "bad thing"

1 eats CHICKEN but no beef, the other eats BEEF but no chicken.

As Ross notes, you can expect a formal RSVP slip in the March newsletter and a map the Henry's place.

If you wait till May 15th to send in your RSVP, you will be hungry.
Let me be more the point... if you RSVP the final week before Fun Day, you will not be eating any of Ross' BBQ. Do NOT wait till the last minute, RSVP early!

Do not expect any valid info in the april newsletter, unless you really want to show up at the Sonoma County homeless shelter for your meal.

It seems that I always seem to get left out.
Did you see my post, it was the very first response that you got on this thread. But I was overlooked when you did the last post of counts. It is just the little things like this that makes me feel like I am not a part of this club.



On a second note, not directly towards you, but quite honestly I have felt like I do not belong to this group lately, and sometimes even get the feeling that I am not wanted around at all. This is a shame because I do like the club and most all of the people in it, leaving out the one's I do not know. However I already am having thoughts about not re-newing my membership for 2008.

You're a unique guy Michael -- And I know many people take you for granted, but I also know that many count on your being there when needed. I know Tony couldn't pull of Rubithon without your help, and I know the Swap meet counts on your participation as well.

Not a response or action just my opinion.
I joined and am in this club for a couple reasons.
The most important being the members that said & say Hi when you see em, are helpful and friendly, make an effort to show, and participate with good attitude.
The TLCA info you bring is appreciated.
You ever get that comfort level when doing something just cause you know certain people are around.
You must be thinkin of some other organization.

OK, now you see you are miss understanding what I am syaing, let me clarify.

1.) I never said I was not coming to any event or meeting. Hell I have more than paid my dues, I will attend all events as always.

2.) It is not due to any one person, thing or evnet that makes me feel this way. Hell most of the people in the club are great, and I would cough up a nut for them if they asked.

3.) The best way I can put it is, say you are a METALHEAD and you move to a new town. Now you hear people raving about this awsome bar, so you decide to go check it out. When you get there you realize that it is a COUNTRY WESTERN bar. Now the building is clean the people are nice, but you just don't fit in. It is not he other patrons fault, it is not the establishments fault, it is not your fault, you just don't fit in. This is how I am feeling, and is the best way I can relate this message.

4.) At least I am in touch with my feelings, and I know who I am, therefore MEDICATION is not needed and never will be!!!!!!!

5.) Responses were not what I was looking for, I just wanted to voice my opinion, and make sure I GOT SOMETHING TO EAT AT FUN DAY.
