Thought you guys might enjoy this. There are several videos and I hope to drive them both up the mountain too this weekend.

I remember all the old Road and Track comparisons.

Technically I should have a Patrol LG 61 which has the 4 speed manual but you get the idea.

Just spent 5 weeks going over these trucks to get them ready for export.

My summary is... I fit way better in the Toyota bench seat being 6 foot 3. I like the smoothness and power of the Nissan engine. Looks to me is a dead tie. They both look great. I love the dash vents on the Nissan (they work well! I wish the Toyos had kept them).

The Nissan has the old crank start which is cool. Worse thing is it has the 3 speed with no synchro in first but it pulls well from 2nd.

And I love the old school split rims and 7.50 x 16 tires on the toyota. Both trucks I get thumbs up down here in Colombia.

They're both actually land rover rip-offs.

That's not a very early land cruiser but, that's an FJ40. It has far more in common with a SWB rover than a jeep.

I think the toyota is slightly cooler, but I would love to drive around either of those vehicles! They both look fantastic.

Really nice duo - would love to have both - how about a combo deal ;)

Did you sell your green 83 40 at mecum? I thought reserve wasn't met and you had it listed a few places afterwards?

Really like that 43
