Hi, I'm not sure this is in the right forum or not, but here goes. My 85 Bj70 fuel tank is leaking...and leaking bad. I did some searching on the different forums and people seem to recommend JB weld as a fix. However, my tank is in pretty bad shape and I think I'd rather just err on the side of caution and find a new tank. I've called around to a bunch of different suppliers, who all say they don't make them anymore. There must be a supplier somewhere though! Does anyone know where I could get a fuel tank?

Thanks and sorry if this is in the wrong forum!

Try taking it to a local shop in your area that repairs gas tanks, they may be able to repair yours by patch welding your existing tank, then coat it with some sort of spray sealer, I've had equipment repaired that way and it lasts for years. They may have to make new straps up because they usually rust to the skid plate and the skid plate rusts to the tank.
