The exact place it’s dripping from is from “fuel pipe clamp no. 1”. It’s the clamp that connects two pieces of fuel pipe together before it enters the fuel rail. And it’s a very slow drip, almost not noticeable, except it’s always wet and smells. So some is definitely coming out.

Im wondering if I just have garbage luck and that clamp somehow failed and started leaking, or is this an indication of something else amiss? Too much pressure in the fuel system that the clamp isn’t designed to hold?

Unlikely too much pressure in the system, probably just a 10 year old hose or o-ring wearing out. I'm too lazy to go look at this on my truck at the moment to confirm the style of clamp that is used. Is this on the high pressure side or the return fuel/low pressure side?

Uhh, not sure, it’s the left one if you’re standing by the driver side near the hood. I undid the clamp and fuel started squirting out so I connected it back up real quick. I ordered a new connector. Will see if it fixes it

so I looked up and purchased the clamp, only to find out it’s that useless little plastic clamp that somewhat holds the connector together. It’s not the actual fitting. The fitting is on the hose itself which costs about 125. When I take the fitting off, the bottom hose that the fitting sits on has a plastic coating that partially peeled off. I’m afraid that’s what’s causing the fitting not to seal completely. I’ve peeled the coating off completely so the bottom hose is now bare steel. Will see how well it holds up.
