Fuel Filler Neck Grommet

I'm replacing my fuel filler neck and would like to replace the gasket that is on the inside of the rear quarter panel. The one that is down by the fuel tank and seals the neck and quarter panel from the underside of the vehicle. I can't find it at SOR and I tried Cruiser Dan but he in on vacation this week. Has anyone ever replaced this gasket? Mine is falling apart. I wouldn't worry about it much except it looks like driving in the rain could get water into the quarter panel.

I replaced mine once to keep water from splashing up into the corner panel.
It tends to dryrot easy.
CDan can get it if anyone can.
It's not easy to find on parts schematics for some reason.

SOR also told me that those aren't available. Maybe this is why the guy was testy. I was tempted to give him a slight reaming on customer service, but I wasn't quite quick enough when he asked if there was any thing else.

You know I went through this about 6 months ago - couldn't find it on SORs website. Couldn't find a part #. Nobody at SOR could find it... Marv walked by while I had the rotten one in my hand as I stood at the parts counter, he said: "you need one of those?"

He was back in 2 minutes with a bagged OEM.

I'll try and get the part # when I get home.

OK -

I "Think" it's part # 90480-92002 - Just listed as a Grommet...

Of course that's the one part # I didn't write down and threw away the bag. I have the EPC, but the problem is it's listed in the 'rear floor member' section and the picture is just a tiny grommet. That's why I had trouble finding it the first time.

HOWEVER - verify this # before you buy, with SOR or CDan or....

Thanks Spike! I called SOR and it's part #168-85A on their website. Cost is 16.95.

Yeah, that's it... I remember it was in a funky spot in the website diagram. Marv had to point it out.

Somebody added that by hand - it's not there in the EPC diagram.

My $20 a year support of this website has paid for itself many times over. I encourage everyone to help out who can afford it. I mean how much time and frustration will this save people. I know it saved me a bunch.

It's too bad my local dealership wants $20 for this part. I will probably buy it from them since I don't need much else to order from Dan at this time. I should probably replace the hose that goes from the filler neck to the tank as mine is rather stiff but not cracked.

EDIT: I just realized that this is a Grommet for an FJ that I call "Wallace".....
I crack myself up sometimes......

Yes , I have them in stock and include them with the filler neck hose and clamps as a kit. I can sell them individually as well. It's the same one you got from City Racer. There's only one version of that part. Try putting some grease on it
