So there you go. Somebody here needs to buy that thing and wheel it!

Seriously, good luck with it.

Thanks Mark. I was always tempted to put some new, more off road capable tires on it, but I just couldn't throw away the good tires that are already on it. I think it would look killer witha roof rack, bigger tires, and a prerunner bumper. I've always thought about it as an economic Land Cruiser.

My GF loves her Tercel 4wd. I had to buy it to talk her out of her 4wd Toyo van. I need that for a work truck. She has wanted one of those 4wd Tercels for 20 years. When she saw this one, she wanted it right now at any price. I bought it right now! There were three guys in line behind me wanting to buy it. They lost. I wondered why they were hanging around. The car was sold.
I mounted a pair of later Celica seats in the front for comfort. She loves it. I am looking for a rear seat in grey or black to match. Also a set of door panels.
This car shows typical Toyo behavior. I changed the oil and other fluids and checked the brakes. I repainted the wheels and mirrors, polished the body and gave her the keys. The car is 25 years old. I haven't seen it since then. It is totally reliable. She has driven it several thousand miles, even to Phoenix and back twice. It runs like clockwork over snowy roads and all.
The only complaint that I have heard in 4 months is that the glove box latch needs to be adjusted. It is a Toyota, nuff said!
