Hey all,

I was going to transport this truck to Costa Rica but I'm thinking that it'd be easier to buy a diesel down there. So, I am going to test the market here for my 1997 40th Anniversary Edition 80.

Asking price $13,000

The Good:
-Slee 6 inch lift
-35/12.5/17 inch BFG MT's (nearly new) x 5
-Slee Offroad rear bumper
-Roughly 117,000 on the clock
-Locked front and rear
-Brand new starter, replaced 11/26/06
-It's clean and been taken care of

The Bad:
-Nothing beside a few small marks or scratches
-Running boards are off, but I could add them to the sale
-seats are a little worn (no tears, just wear)

It's definitely not "showroom" condition but it is a nice looking truck. Pics were taken when dirty:flipoff2:. I'll polish it up and also post of the interior.

I will post up a few more pics if anyone is interested.

I figure I'd list it here first then try Ebay.

Thanks for your interest in advance,

Doug

BTW: I have the factory wheels.

Also have the running boards, and rear bumper in case anyone is interested.

Feel free to chime in and let me know if I'm off base on the price or pics. I'd appreciate any insight you guys can give me.

:flipoff2:

Thanks again.

PMed you........interested in a partial trade for a built 60?

I might be interested. 6" is too tall for my storage space, but maybe I can find a 2" suspension to swap-in, or a buyer for the 6" components.

I has caught my eye. Waiting for a response to my PM...

Iron Yuppie: If you buy it, I'll swap you my OME 2.5" lift on my LX450 for the 6" on the this one. It'll be easy since we're in the same town.

Thanks for the interest. I have been busy today running around town and trying to get the truck cleaned up.

I will post some answers to a few PM's that I have received.

-Rust? Theres a few small spots of rust and a few chips. Pics 6(Rust or Resin) 7 & 8

-Trade (full or partial for a 60)? No, thanks I wish I could but I've run out of room here in Florida.

-Third Row Seating? Yes, I have the seats and they are just like new ('cept they're not!)

-Full Slee kit? Yes, complete

-Drive line vibes? None that I can tell of.

-Brakes? Yes it has brakes! :flipoff2: Just kidding, the brakes are fine and recently replaced.

-Oil leaks? The front main seems to weep a little though I've never had it drop anything on my driveway.

-Regear? Nope, I didn't regear and personally don't think it's necessary here in Southwest Florida. I put nearly 100 miles a day on it since I bought it (Mon-Fri). Mostly at 45-60 mph so I never really needed it. Maybe it would be needed in the mountains.

-Head gasket replaced or issues? I've had it about a year and have not had any issues with it. So I haven't replaced it. I'll include a pic. Maybe one of the gurus can tell if it's been done. Pic 5

-Something else I noticed while washing it, There are some mother natures pin stripping on it. Nothing through the paint, just scuffed. I am going to try some scratch remover or clay bar to get rid of them. I'll let you know whats up. Pics 2 & 3

No, the truck hasn't sold yet.

I have been trying to answer questions as they come in. Here's the latest Question.

Q:"Has the truck been used as a fleet vehicle? There was a service contract for the truck back in January."

A:No idea about the service contract. The best I can think of is I bought it from a used car lot. I believe they use a national company to maintain their vehicles and/or provide warranty on them. I remember having a third party warranty company trying to get me to buy into it (referred by the dealer). I don't think I ever did though!

If it was a fleet vehicle, I need to get a job working there. The new Cruiser will be out in 08. Maybe I could line myself up for one! :D

Very nice. Can you tell me about the steering wheel wrap?

Sorry Guys, but the truck sold on Sunday Dec 3rd.

New owner is local and has a few other 80's.

Thanks for the interest.

Doug

Garth: The steering wheel wrap is a "wheelskins" I believe. Easy to put on and it feels great in your hands. It's durable and is easy to replace after a few years, if needed.
