Hey Ya'll,

Sellin' my sweet 1988 FJ62, the conversion was professionally completed by Steve's Off-Road in Soddy Daisy, TN. Steve and Jeremy did a fantastic job on this truck. I have driven it daily for 13,500 miles, long trips into TN ,AL and NC, round town. Worst case MPG has been 20MPG best case with pump turned down was 30MPG. Pump at proper setting, the truck avg. 24MPG. No issues turn the key and go.

I bought the FJ62 which had 182,770 from a friend in NC, who was the 2nd or third owner, it was cared for and had good service records, feel free to Carfax it, it spent time in TX, NC and now GA. It's a Southern truck. I delivered it to Steve's Off-Road the day after I bought it, so the conversion could began...

The 1HZ/H55F combo was bought from a MUD member, rutbeer. I personally went and picked this combo from him. It's was said to have around 55,000 miles, it's condition reflected this claim. Fired right up with no glow, ran smoothly. No leaks or drips anywhere. I converted the alternator, starter, and fuel cut to 12V using all Toyota Factory parts, and delivered it to Steve's Off-Road same day as the FJ62.

I have all the reciepts and records from the conversion, Steve and Jeremy took time to make it right and I ended up with an awesome truck that I could drive daily with no worries...

I'll try and update this description if I leave something out, here we go...

Hey, nice conversion! Glad to hear it all went well for you. Geez....I should start writing a contract with all these motors so that I get first right of refusal if the owner sells.

Guys, Southern asked me for the compression numbers on this truck. I'm looking for them, but this motor was sold years ago. As I remember, this was the best of the 1hz's I've ever had and the numbers were tops. I think it also had the altitude compensator on it, which is not present in the early 1hz's. Very desirable little feature there.

Bahndo111, no Giant Slalom, but Nov.1 I'll be doin' my best with the best :):):beer:

The '62 may be there is it hasn"t sold by then, I drive it everywhere...

Maybe see you there?

I'll be there, I'll be in a remix c-1, I hope you still have the rig then so I can check it out, looks pretty sweet! Train hard, see you in a month.

This truck looks great, glad to see it completed. I have bought a truck from Southernstride in the past and he takes great care of his trucks. This is an awesome find for someone.

Good luck with the sale. If you ever want that kayaking jacket, let me know.

Hey Ya'll,

TTT for a great diesel cruiser.

Hey Ya'll,

This truck has been sold for the asking price in the add.

For those of you with conversions complete & or in progress, it is my opinion that this price was on the low end for such a nice truck. I sold it for what I had to cause I am movin'.

The truck went to a happy new owner, a cruiserhead,

long may she run:)
