Joe,

the route for power steering is yet to be determined. I have little knowledge as to how it is best done. Guessing i need to see what engine is going to stay in the thing first ay?

Is Darrel attempting to steer this thread in yet another direction...?

Stay focused son, this thread is for an fj40.

I have no idea what route is best either, I think it all depends on what else is being done and going on like you said. If you want to keep stock-ish steering then the push pull boxes are a pretty simple setup from what I understand, but I think can cause other issues.

push pull keeps the POS center arm, and more link points than you need....FJ62 power steering is a good option, or Scout, or GM Saginaw, or others...33's are the limit with the push-pull stuff.

Just buy Johnnies old 40...it already has all my disc brake stuff on it, has power steering & he only wants $10,000 for it.

Has 5 brand new 35" KM II

That's right it's for sale

That's right.....he wants 10K

For now.....I'm speechless

this one will never have more than 33's. the steering can be simple but i am going to try to solve the engine issue first. Guessing that need be the priority and then the fun crap.

tony, who is johnnie?

my plan is to get this thing back to life again. it is my baby and i have had it since 91'. old red needs love.

Id keep it as original as possible, other than discs and maybe a 4spd in the future, Id leave it rough.

But thats just me.
