Front some light on with doors open?

I've done a search but refuse to believe it's true.

Are the front map light (the ones right by the rear view mirror) supposed to come on when I open the front door? All the other some light seem to be working correctly and I know the door switch works because the light in the door goes off when I push it in.

I could have sworn the map lights were supposed to come on with the doors open.

I dont know, but I doubt it because they are run through a switch. They have not come on with either of my 100s.

Just put LED panels in the second and third row lights

Rewire them through the headliner to the center dome light.

Yeah, I think I have a plan to mount a CB where the rear DVD player is. I can fix it all if/when that ever happens.
