TLDR edit, KYB makes a high quality kit "SM5724" that has all this hardware i circled in red.

Looking to replace $hock$ and want to make sure i get all the right stuff together. Going to call lexus and give VIN to get spring #s tor my specific setup but does anyone have the part numbers for all this hardware?

are you planning to keep the OE struts or going with aftermarket?

Lexus brand. I see they are stupid expensive, im hoping for a buy once cry once situation unless anyone knows a FCP euro warranty style JDM parts supplier. Im going to be towing occasionally and its extremely rare im offroading for any extended distances.

Thanks, I bet that M3 is sweet. That definitely looks like the "suspension support sub assembly", I am looking for the other fiddly bits too;

Cushion retainer(top)
Cushion no 1
Cushion retainer (bottom)

I never heard of anyone replacing the stock fronts with Lexus as it’s so expensive and most do a coil conversion all around. Probably better off asking on the Club Lexus forum. I know some people buy Koyo brand fronts, supposedly they are stamped with “toyota” but you’d have to search to find examples.

Part numbers can be found on most Lexus dealer parts sites, I use Bell Lexus.

Not “Koyo.”

Tokico are OEM line and service replacement part for these trucks….which is owned by Hitachi conglomerate.

Thanks. Do you know if the koyos have the 4 way damper adjust? A quick google search i cant find anything for "koyo shock gx470"
Sorry, was just going off my (spotty) memory. I think I have Koyo bearings or something.

The front shocks I think are Luft Meister, they sell them on Amazon. I could be wrong again, but I recall people posting that these had a Toyota stamp. I have zero clue if they’re legit and I have zero first hand experience, I swapped to Eibach years ago. If you search this forum for Luft there are quite a few posts.

Thank you both. Googled "tokico gx470 shock" for about an hour this morning and coming up mostly fruitless.

2 questions,
1. Do the tokico shocks have the asjustable dampers
2. Anyone got a link where I could buy them? (Are the amazon luft meisters the tokicos?)

For towing, I can understand why you want to keep the rear air bags/prings. The ability to lower or raise the rear to attach the trailer is good. This is accomplished by the rear air bags.

How are the shocks making any difference in towing? The electronically controlled dampening on the shocks for sport, normal, comfort are independent settings that don’t impact the rear air bags.

I daily drive the car city and tow highway. I want comfy shocks for around town potholes and sport shocks for the highway. If im keeping airbags I want to stay all stock. I know its dumb expensive to go oem but the value proposition is there for me.

Got it. You value the ability to adjust the shock valving with the turn of a button.

Most high quality aftermarket shocks from KINGS, OME BP51, etc have manual adjusters for compression or rebound that are better than Lexus but they are not electronic.

I know the rears have integrated adjusts and its why they cost SO MUCH even compared to fronts. Whats interesting to me is it looks like the front adjusts are actually driven by a seperate motor and if an aftermarket manufacturer was clever they could integrate very cheaply with this by having the appropriately shaped damper adjust dial.

Heres an image from an amazon review, do these look "keyed" to work with the front adjuster motor?

I also see the luft meisters have plugs on the rear shocks, are those just to quiet error lights or does it actually 4 way adjust as well? I seatched fotums for "luft" and see people say ride adjust "still worls fine". Tempted to go luftmeister rears instead of OEM.

I think it might be KYB, not Tokico.

I am seeing here it does seem to be KYB. I am having a very hard time finding any though and expect they are discontinued.

The seller on amazon describes the front and rear shocks as having MRC but everything I read about OEM is it was 4 way adjustable valve.

I seem to be back to looking at OEMs. On the plus side I found these KYB kits that answer my initial question and I know I can trust KYB hardware here.

Seeing 3 paet numbers for front spring.

Pretty sure A560 is for kdss which i dont have.

Seems to imply B490 is for right only, but B500 can be used on either side? This is weird to me and im not sure what to buy.

Called lexus and gave my vin. The correct front spring part numbers for my car (without kdss) were the springs ending in b500 and b490

So, how much you spending to replace the suspension with oem parts? $510 for springs and how much for shocks?

The front shocks are actually somehow very affordable. Probably cause no one does what im doing.

$190 each after tax and the kyb hardware kit is $25 each on rockauto.

Holding off on buying the OEM rears. Gonna try the luftmeisters back there and see if its liveable or if i need to spend the $1400 for the rears. They need to be replaced with something though these boys are tired.
