This is a hub and front end from my 1960 FJ25. What is this hub and is it only 25 or also early 40?
Thanks, Buzz

Ok, there was supposed to be a picture with this

Buzz, If they have two levers that swing out, spin around, and lock back in, they're Cutlass hubs. A big cheezy tin chrome thing is probably a Husky hub. I can post a picture later.

If you need help with the picture let me know, because we're going to want to see your rig in the 25 section. https://forum.ih8mud.com/forumdisplay.php?f=49

Jim, where did you get those kewl Cutlass hubs?;)

 Wow, time flies. They've been serving me well, the chrome is a little flakey though. :D

Oh yeah, the 25 and early 40 did not come with locking hubs, just driveplates. Locking hubs were dealer or owner installed.

Here's a Cutlass hub:

Thanks,
They seem to be cutlass hubs. My pictures are too big to upload and I don't have the software (or maybe knowlege) to change them to 800x800.
I got the 25 as a bare body/axle probably 12 or so years ago and built it to replace my old beater 40. I've tried to keep the body original but the rest is no longer any where near stock (FI 350, SM420, Orion, 40 Axles etc.). But it was fun to build and does seem to work well. I am still making modifications and probably will forever. I'll post something in the 25 area when I can get the pics down to size.
Buzz (for those who have gone on Sierra Trek.... Uncle Fluffy ... you can point or laugh, just don't point and laugh.)
