Hey everyone,
Just bought my first Cruiser two weeks ago and am working on making her pretty. I'm sure y'all will see additional tech related questions from me in the future, but an opportunity presented itself and I wanted to ask a question.
The original owner worked on taking care of the rust before I purchased it but the front fenders were eaten through around the bottom edge. The hood has three holes down the center which leads me to believe it originally had the silver piece of trim/accent running down (which was '72 and earlier I think??) The hood is split above the front grill (rust ate through it) and I'm considering replacing. I was already planning on getting it repainted once I get all the minor mechanical issues worked out so that isn't an issue.
I said all that to ask the question: Will 76 front fenders and hood fit without issue on a 73? I don't believe there will be any issues but am still somewhat ignorant on FJ40s in comparison to some of the folks who roam these message boards. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
