The question concerns adding width to the WMS to WMS when converting a drum front axle to disc brakes. Some of the companies selling bolt-on caliper brackets specify the increase in front axle width with their products. I am not using the add-a-bracket--I am using fj60 and/or minitruck components for a drum to disc conversion.
I have done two such conversions myself and didn't think to measure anything, but there are noticeable dimensional differences in drum/disc components.
Has anyone who has done the all-Toyota conversion accurately done a before and after measurement on the WMS to WMS to find the change in track ?
