I agree the front end rebuild would be a good father son gig. Does anyone have any experience with popping a used diff in from say Cruisers.net. I see you can get one for around $600.00. Any ballpark figures on a rebuild to differential with a good mechanic?

I have heard good and bad things about cruiserpartss.net
I would post up in the wanted section here and also comb the parting out thread and parts for sale section they pop up.
Also check out pirate4x4.com I have seen a couple of front 80 diffs for sale on there recently
Forget it you have an elocker
I would get the diff out first to see what the problem is first maybe you dont need new gears
Maybe just new pinion bearings instead of ring and pinion

Thanks again, I plan to do some research on parts and figure out a time when we can tear down and rebuild.

Pull the diff drain plug and see if there is any metal chips on the magnet.
