Front camera upgrade for 2013 LC

There are plenty of better after market cameras that could provide higher definition but could a high def camera be used with the OEM head unit/screen? My 2017 Taco camera image is so much better and I now which I had never seen it because the LC camera is terrible in comparison. I know I could improve the camera and video image if I replace the head unit but I'm not ready to go there yet.

I'm sure a higher def camera could be incorporated, but your bottleneck is then the screen. It's low resolution, so it's not going to improve with a higher resolution camera.

Thanks. That’s my exact question. A better question is what is the screen resolution of the 2013 screen? Attempting Google Fu now…
