With my soon-to-be FJ due to arrive sometime in the next 4 months, i am secretly stashing money aside for a more beefy front bumper.
my question...i have not decided what to get, with all the new designs popping up, but WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO WITH THE FRONT PEICES YOU TOOK OFF?
I mean, you didnt just toss the in the trash. There must be a value to these front end pieces.
kinda wondering how much the peices might offset the cost of a new bumper

I plan on an ARB bumper in a couple of weeks.
A birthday gift to myself. As if the FJC wasn't enough.

I would keep all the OEM parts just in case you someday decide to sell the truck. You could sell the aftermarket bumper in a second and if its not to beat up, get close to what you paid for it.

my $0.02

I put the allpro on my sister's. If were to buy one I would get that bumper.

Her junk is still sitting on her back porch....E-bay!

I installed the ARB and have the stock parts tucked away in the attic. The stock parts are selling on eBay for a little over $100.

Yes, mine is on the porch

I have only seen one on ebay and it didn't have any bids on it and now it's gone. I think I am just going to keep mine for "in case" or until the trucks have been on the market long enough for people to want the parts.

By the way, if you do put an aftermarket bumper on, chances are you will need to "alter" some of the parts that stay on the truck so those would have to be replaced if you put the stock bumper back on.

outta net you a good hundred+ results for it....happy shoppin ;)

Why would anyone buy the installation kit without the bumper?

after seeing a brand X bumper put to the test and bend, I'm curious as to construction details such as plate thickness, reinforcement/bracing as well as weight and profile. I think the All-Pro and Fab 4 both have good profile with minimal amount of protrusion to hang up. Any input?

i like that bentup. just emailed him for $ and frt. to the east coast.
i like the ARB too, since i can do a road trip to cruiser solutions to save the frt.

I opted for the DeMello front bumper with the added center hoop. It appears a little less obtrusive than the ARB or Fab 4 or Expedition bumpers. My biggest reason is how much Jason DeMello responded to feedback and his customer service. I already have his sliders for my FJ and am anxiously awaiting the bumber to be finished anyday. Once I get it installed, I post pics with it and my OME lift (which is in the mail also).

My personal choice is the ARB. I like it because of front end protection more than anything, especially for the on-road driving. ARB is better for 'expedition' style off roading IMO, and is an all around bumper. The All-Pro style I see being copied all over is more for clearance for rock crawling, which I don't plan on doing much of myself. I have never seen an ARB bumper bend, crack, or deform whatsoever. As far as I know they are the strongest bumpers out there, and offer the most front end protection.

i am going with expedition one . i will have it by the end of next week. i will post some pics next week.
