the valley, yeah that one
So after the last bumper got bent from a guy turning in front of me, I finally got some work done on a new "improved" design.

1/4" plate, 1-1/2" thick-walled tube, mounts go through the bumper to the frame.

I'll be finishing soon hopefully- some more welds to stitch up and then lots of grinding before the powdercoat goes on. Oh, and mount the winch too :D

enjoy :)

looks clean. What did u do with the one you had?

I like it a lot, do you plan on making more and selling them? I know I would be very interested.:D

BTW, those are some nice bends.

thanks! probably gonna sell it here for $50, but shipping to TX would be a killer...

nice try :D only making it for me...

Ah man.....:crybaby:

Pre-runner bars? Any more support for those wings?

probably not, I was more concerned with getting it higher, plus if I hit it that hard to where it bends the tube and the 1/4" plate well I should probably be more careful then shouldn't I...

Is the front plate heavy enough for the winch just incase you ge the 60 stuck?

Mounting plate is 1/4" bolted to the frame and welded to the 1/2" plates that also bolt to the frame - should be enough, yes?

I like the design and I also like those support plates going to the wings. That will make a good place to stand when you need to reach to the back of the engine or when you're stuck in somthing up to your frame. Any pics head on with the "stinger"?

looks clean, but also looks little peeny though. good job. smash a 6-8 inch tree and se how it holds up. my bent to crap stocker bumper pushes till the roots rip from the earth. thinking of bolting a 2x5 inch with a 1/4 inch wall c channel on

"peeny"????

Saw your rig at the Eagle Rock Plaza yesterday and the bumper looked great in person.:D

Thanks! We were heading to our tax guy - he's on sierra villa.

Hopefully I can get some more progress on it before we move, but I'm not too sure it'll happen. I still need to finish the last welds, grind, mount light tabs and winch, then paint or powder coat...

I'll post up when I can get some time on it.

cheers.

dont forget me either....

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I won't... Escrow should close on the 7th and I'm hoping to get some time on it before then. I'll definitely get over to my buddy's shop and get the old one out of his way.
