Im trying to decide between a Demello or road armor front bumper anyone know the pros and cons of either? The one that i like from each company has the tubes that come up and cover the grill and headlights. Is one going to be stronger than the other?

I think the biggest pro with the demello is the price, it's a lot cheaper then other bumpers
It's also lighter, which is always good.
The road armor looks a lot stronger, but unless your planning on push down trees or moving boulders, I would think either one would be strong enough for normal trail use.
I narrowed mine choices to Demello or Allpro, I'm ordering Allpro next week because their having a great deal on them and they can hold more winch options then the Demello can.
If money is not a factor for you, personally I would go with the road armor.
I don't know if you saw this thread over on the blue forum, but it might help or give you more choices

i also like the allpro because of the weight factor and the pre runner bar looks good too. and they come in three peices so if you damage one peice it can be replaced

I ran into a guy at a car audio shop and he had the full AllPro setup. I talked to him about his bumpers and after seeing mine (FabFours) he said he wished he had gotten the same front I have. He was happy with the rear bumper from AllPro, but he said the front bumper wasn't as solid as he had hoped. He went to the first FJ Summit in Co. and said the bumper flexed a lot when using the winch. Maybe he didn't have it mounted correctly, but he wasn't really happy with it. I'm not sure why the FabFours isn't more popular with FJ owners. It is super beefy, comes with or w/out a brush guard, has two D-ring mounts, and comes with Hella Fog lights and signal lights. Granted it is a little more $$$, but IMO, you get what you pay for. I couldn't be happier with FabFours product. I guess it is a matter of personal taste when it comes to looks, but you may want to check them out before you decide on a bumper.

I am running one ofthe first Expedition One bumpers, and it has been fine. I love the looks, no problems winching, I've landed on it w/ no problems, the skid dovetailed into the budbuilt skids nicely, so I'm pretty happy. That said, the only problem is accessing the forward bolts for mounting the winch. When I did my research, this had some of the beefiest construction and is a reasonable weight - I think about 105 lbs (before the winch).

Demello is the way I went and I'm very happy with it.

Thanks for all the input, im torn between road armor, demello, and FabFours now they all look similar, the prices just vary, i guess you get what you pay for though.

My only complaint about the All-Pro is that it is tight up against the bottom of the bezel and headlight surrounds. There is absolutely no gap, meaning that any frame flex gets transfered to the front clip. It hasn't been a great problem, but if I were to do it over again, I'd go with Demello. The Demello crinkle finish powder coat and D-O logo initially put me off of that design, but I've heard they can work with you on those elements if you call and talk to them (= more $$).
