I built this bumper last year. Made from 1/8"x6" strap all cut with an angle grinder.

Looks very good! So, there is no structural frame under bumper? Do you have any pictures without build details?

did you have to cut anything on truck or it’s mounted to all factory places?

There is a frame under. I didn't get many pictures of it, but here is one when it was almost done.

I cut the caps off of the end of the frame and used existing threaded holes to mount.

@Mauser, will you post up a few more pics of your bumper and give a few more details? Are those turn signals on the side? The round things x3?
Thanks,
Jay

I’m currently doing this but with a rear bumper. If you’re like me and don’t want to drop dough on a compressor and plasma cutter, a used 6” Milwaukee deep portable bandsaw (~$100) will do most of the cuts you need and a million times easier than an angle grinder. I have my local metal shop cut the big pieces/strips I need to width, it’s something like $1 per cut (can’t exceed ~8” wide for my bandsaw) and the rest of the cuts I DIY.
Very rewarding but if you factor your time in it’s cheaper to just buy one 😂

Cool! I watched like million other videos on youtube on how to make them. I just upgraded to very nice air compressor last year so it's not a problem. And, seems like $160 plasma will work. So, it's not much different from portable band saw.

Would you mind sha more photos of this, in pm or anywhere you find appropriate? I’m planning a similar build. Tied into frame how? Preserve towing capacity? Swing outs?

Yes, those are turn signals. There are 4 on each side.

@Mauser looks good! I like the turn signals, nice touch. You're overall look is similar but not identical to what I have in mind. I'll try and share when finished.

My drawing. I'm gathering metal...

Why so deep in the center section? What’s your scale? 1 square = ?
1 square= 2". The center section is at the bottom of the frame horns, although, I chopped them and moved it up about 1.5". He's my beginning mock up from last night:

Holy $&!# Mauser 6" strap! That's really impressive!
Katit, I'm looking to do the same thing. I'll be mocking something up with cardboard. First step for me is deciding upon a look. From there I'll be pulling the bumper(front/rear IDK) and looking at attachment points and going from there. I just got a new hundy so I'll probably start a build thread to document the whole process.
