Man, if I had the skill set to do work like that, I'd do one for the LX in a heartbeat, and sell the ARB on mine to buy enough metal to do front AND back!!! I hadn't checked this thread in over a month, never saw that last (finished) pic. That turned out as good as any bumper I've seen, very clean lines.

quick questio.

if you dont mind can you tell the angle you used coming off the frame where the skid portion of the bumper is. I know you used 6 in x 3/16 fat bar, but are the top, bottom and skid all 6 in or did you rip the front, top, bottom or did you just leave them 6 in. The pictures are at a 45 degree angle from frame.

No idea on the angle, but that looks pretty close. I used a strip of 8"x 1/4 flat stock to make a winch plate and built off of that. Everything else was ripped down to what I thought looked good as we were doing it.

Start with the winch plate, which was a flat piece bolted on the bottom side of the top bolts on the frame. I hope that makes sense.

DONE

finished last week sometime. Thanks for the ideas. First time welding, bit the bullet and got a hobart 210mvp. Rear coming soon.

Dang, you sure did bite the bullet for a first time welder with the 210

I have a Hobart 187 and never had any trouble. I think you'll be happy with your choice in welder.

Bumper looks good, too!
