Front Bumper Build

Since I haven't had a bumper for a few years, and since I recently got a winch, it is time to build a front bumper.

Here is my new super-duper Smittybilt winch with synthetic rope...



This is the look I was going for, but with a little more clearance since I am spring-under on 33's




(Pardon the poor quality of the pictures, I'm working by the light of a Coleman lantern.)

First, i had to fab a welding cart. It's part Super D mini shopping cart, and part iron fence. I swapped the wheels so it only has rear steer.

We got the rest of it tacked before it got dark.



Then we got it all weldered up with the trusty Lincoln.

Got a lot of the finish grinding done. Just need to do the other wing and then clean up some of the wavy cuts and it'll be ready for paint.

Alot more fun to built it also. I looks 1000% better than my arb. I think I might be making me a new front bumper soon...

I saved my cardboard templates....

So far I've got about $170 in it. And way too many hours of labor to mention.
