Free vertical metal-cutting bandsaw (in Auburn & needs work)? (1 Viewer)

I have a big, heavy-dudy Powermatic vertical bandsaw free to anyone that wants to pick it up in Auburn, AL. I bought a few years ago but never got around to putting in the time to get it running. Was told it just needed a thrust bearing when I bought it but it probably needs a few other things. 3 phase (but motor could be changed or run on a converter) with blade welder.

If anyone's interested, I can get some pics posted/emailed. I do have ability to load on trailer or truck.

LOL. Maybe he should post pics before we go trying to haul it all over the SouthEast.... I've seen it... I wanna bring my junk to GMP and they both ain't fittin' on my trailer.

I was halfway joking. I'm still interested, and will need to work out transport, if it looks like its worth the drive.

IIRC it's a 20" industrial model - but hey, it's free! I'll get some pics and dimensions up shortly.

It's a Powermatic Model 2 - 20" band saw. Manual says it weighs 2750 lbs. Wheels are currently off but I have them.
