Hey Guys,

I just had a friend of friend offer me a free '86 FJ60 with ~180k on it. It has been sitting in a field for 5 years and apparently is riddled with rust. Big problem is that it is in Hillsdale, NY. I don't have a vehicle to fetch it with or a place to keep it, but if someone else is interested, I'll go with you. I would be interested in the transfer case and the springs.

its going to be a month or 2 before I can go get it!

I'm suppose to go to Massachusetts in nov/dec for training that may work out? let me know if that works for you and your buddy? I will not be able to take any one with me becouse I'll be going for 3 days to a week.

If its got a good blue dash board and rear bumper, I'd be in for atleast some parts

here is what the owner said about the 60.

"So here is the deal with the truck... I spoke with my sons who apparently have been up the hill to see the truck. They tell me it is in awful condition as it has been sitting in that field for years. It seems that the windows are broken and there is some kind of bees nest and other nests in it. It sounds awful. I personally have not checked it.

But, if you are still interested in it, be my guest to take it. It's a great truck that needs desperate love and care."

sounds like a winner to me. I'm debating if its worth the trip now.

Went up to NY and picked up the 60 yesterday. She's a Crème Puff.
Here’s some pics.

Not bad for $105 fuel.

That is a cream puff; it even meets Lylia's standard for a solid Cruiser!

If it starts and runs it may be my green and blue wheeler this season. I little trimming it'll fit 35s.

Plus, it's got a few rust spots that you get to practice your body work on. What a deal!

That looks like it was well worth the trip.

Ya ,Tracy but his is still red and we all know red is the best color
