My wife's dad gave me this little guy today. It needs some love but it was free. He had a ton of really badass old tools that I didn't know he had hiding in his garage.

The tag is pretty worn but it says "National industrial ball gearing" Model number was BG-64. Can't find anything useful on google. Plugged it in and it's sticking a little, but if you spin it first and start it it spins up fast and pretty smooth. I think I'm going to tear into it tomorrow and see if the bearings can be replaced easy. Once it gets going it seems to work great, just has trouble starting up.

Having a wire wheel is handy as hell.
Just be careful though because they will pull the part right out of your hand.
Sweet big ol grinder.

Yeah, I am going to open it up tomorrow and see what I find. Even if I have to spin it to start it, it was free so I'm not complaining!
