Some will recall the slight miscalculation of overhead clearance in Lander WY on our way home from Pig Party 2020. Since late October the Frankencruiser has been in surgery, which is just about completed. You'll recall the old adage about "good, fast, cheap...pick two." In the case of my guy, who originally did the work ten years ago to restore my PIg, "fast" is never an option.
Here's the refresher on what we've been dealing with for the past three months.

In the "some is good, more is better, too much is about right" mode, decided to clean up some other things like minor rust in both lower rear corners, cracks in the paint on top of the front fenders (likely from rocks kicked up while following J Mack over gravel roads at high speed during the last two Pig Parties), cracked lower driver door hinge and some other little bruises accumulated over the past ten years. End result was going to be repaints on everything but the doors so decided to go whole hog (pun intended) and re-do everything green.
Yes, the tires are flattened. Body guy is short so even with his platform it made it easier to work on the roof. Final color goes on today or tomorrow. Then come Bob's front body mounts and reassembly.

I know others are thinking it so I'll go ahead and say it.
This might have been a good time to modernize the color, I miss the 70's too but yeah.... Avocado.

Thought about all the options..,zebra stripes, flat black, red, fake patina etc. but not blue. Already had one of those. Decided to stick with God’s own favorite.
Mother-in-law actually had avocado appliances. Married her daughter anyway.

Wow, going to look great when done. You're upping the bar for the Show & Shine. No worries on the color, it's a seventies vehicle, so the color should be from the era. What's going on in your tailgate?

Just cleaning up scrapes and scratches from 10 years of pulling things out and sliding them in. Also had a couple of recurring cracks around holes where a PO had mounted one of those old Jerry can carriers.

J Mack...occurs to me that pretty green "Macsimizer" tool box like the one in Mike's shop might be something for you to consider.

If I remember right our mobile home in 1971 had Harvest Gold appliances. I think we had an option of the green or gold. Good old days. :smokin:
We also committed Harvest Gold back in the day. Now it's black stainless in the refurbed kitchen. The refrigerator alone cost more than my first two cars...combined.

I use this same line when talking about stuff with the teenagers...so they understand how much things have changed.

Truth be told the new refrigerator was about 3x the price of those first two cars.

I start buying cars a lot later than you guys and my fridge is quite a bit more than the first 6 six cars I had.

Prices were: $200, $600, $325, free, free, free
