I received these today and need to find out what size bolts they require. I know these are the older version that Spressoman had made about 5 years ago, but cant find any info on the bolts for them. I have already sent out a PM to Spressoman but im heading to the hardware store before long.

They are 14mmx1.5mm, not sure of what length you'd need. If you have your factory bolts, just add the length of the thickness of the bracket and you'd be fine.

Thank you. Should i use any washers?

Yes. I'd use a 10.9 washer if you can find one, if not a grade 8 SAE bolt of similar size will work for the washer.

My brackets came with grade 12.9 allen head bolts.

BBQ Boy: I think the height of the original FRBv1, at the mounting bolt location, is 40mm. Therefore you're going to need 80mm long bolts (M14x1.5). Doesn't help you today but I have grade 12.9 socket head cap screws in black in M14x1.5x80mm and heavy duty washers.

Fine thread metric are sometimes difficult to source...

Be sure to check the condition of your internal captive nut threads. 'The weakest link...is always the weakest link' ;)

That would be very helpful. I went to the hardware store and came back home empty handed. How much for the bolts and washers for both brackets? I would need them before I leave friday for my trip to the mountains with a few Cruiser clubs.

FWIW, there isn't a single hardware store in my city that carries 14mmx1.5mm threads, A couple have 14mmx2.0mm. I had to special order these bolts. You may be able to use the bolts from the rear of the vehicle that attach the recovery hook to the rear frame. Same for the recovery hook on the front as those bolts are longer. If you still have them.
