Has anyone heard of or seen a spare tire carrier similar to this one?
I like the idea of a rear spare tire carrier, but I don't want anything hitch mounted and I don't really want a steel bumper. Id like to find a good example of someone who has gone through factory body panels or the bumper to attach a swing out carrier like this one to the frame itsself. I have looked around but I havent been able to find one.

Thanks!

There's an example of a Russian 200 with one, but I can't remember where it is. I too would like to have something like this for mine if it's an option.

I think Kaymar makes one. Can't remember how it mounts though.

Some good info in this thread

Right. I can't navigate their website for the life of me but perhaps someone else has more experience.

Seems like this is much more common outside the United States.

There is a factory swing out solution too in the middle east but I'm not aware of anyone retrofitting the parts to a USDM model.

Though what size tires are you running? The factory location can fit pretty large spares up to about 34.5"

Ok it looks like this was an option on some other LC200s, according to the threads yall referred me to above. Here is what looks to be the full parts list necessary for this.

Seem to recall LC200s with this option had a different lift gate setup as well as a license plate relocate. So there may be more to this than just these parts.

Yes they do and I have one. It’s fantastic

Can you confirm the swingout does not require the rear bar? I do not believe it does, but I am told the bar is needed to relocate the parking sensors (in the US at least).

Before I got the roof rack, I was looking to get one to carry fuel.

Yes i can.

No reason to have the rear bar, my instructions showed both with and without the bar.

Super helpful.

Do you have any issues with the license plate being in stock position? Difficult to read when trailing the car?

Seems like something you could get a ticket for if it's obstructed.

I ran it for 2 years with zero issue, finally hassled about it one day when they were bored. I just moved the plate over and have one bolt and double sided tape holding it. Very visible
