I am getting ARBs and gears installed pretty soon.
I'd like to have the FR/RR e-locker switch out of the 80 in my 100 for a more OEM look.

Where can you buy these besides hoping to find someone parting out a locked 80 and just hoping that the person buying the axles won't want the switch (not very likely)?

Also, what is a good factory switch that i could use above the rotary switch in order to turn on/off the compressor? I want the compressor to be able to be turned on independently as i bought the one that can be used to inflate tires.

I ordered both switches from Christo (OEM Fog light switch and 80's e-locker switch); however my fog light switch lights up in RED lol I can live with that. Matter of fact I think it looks sort of cool. Above the switch I have a RSCA switch, but the Fog light switch (air compressor switch) fit in a blank to the far left.

What did you pay for the locker switch? If you don't mind me asking. Is it also something that can be sourced new from Toyota, like Beno and CDan.

Yeah, as long as they are available I am pretty sure Beno or CDan can secure them for you. I'll shoot you a PM right now.

As far as the ARB compressor. I got the Dual Compressor. It was about twice the cost as the high output compressor but it's supposed to be continues duty cycle. It seemed very cool for airing up tires. I aired up ONE 295/70/18's (35 in tire?) from 15 psi to 41 psi in 2 minutes exactly. I thought that was pretty quick.

Thanks for the PM.

I have a 10lbs CO2 tank. The main reason i bought the High Output (around $250) was incase my airtank ran out, and to air up inflatables for at the river.

I will try and get some pictures and document what i do for those in the future looking to do this mod.

Definitely still an available item from the dealership, as I just bought one for my ARB install in my 100 last month. CDan or Beno should be able to give you the best price.

Dobie,
Gotta a picture of where you mounted the dual ARB? I'm thinking of upgrading to that compressor and I'd like to see where it mounts.

You'll need the following:

Switch: 84725-60020

Male Connector: 90980-10631

Splices (x3): 82998-12170 (165mm long)

beno, that is great info...thanks for those part numbers. I have the 84725-60020 switch and the 84725-60030 switch. Is there a different part number for the male connector for the -60030 switch or can I use the one above?

Went in with plenty of room.

Thanks for the pic. My aux battery sits in that spot but the compressor doesn't look too big.

That is a very nice and clean look on the dash!

Can you still just lock the front only with this configuration?

Also, do you just engage the [STRIKE]RSCA[/STRIKE] Fog/Aux light button when you want to turn on the compressor for airing up tires?

I have that same set up. With the 80 switch you have to lock the rear first then move to the front. My compressor is wired to the knob, turn the lockers on and the pump starts. RSCA has nothing to do with the lockers.

Fixed

This is how i will be wiring up mine. To allow the compressor to be switched on independently to inflate tires. I am not too concerned with being able to lock the front without locking the rear. I don't see very many situations where i would want this.

Dobie, how do you run the compressor to inflate tires if it is wired up to come on when you engage the lockers?

Onur, thanks for the parts numbers, will be calling you shortly.

RSCA is a standard switch which deactivates my side curtain airbag.

The fog switch on the right activates the air compressor alone. This way I can run the air compressor independent of the lockers.

If I went with the small air compressor that solely activates the lockers then i would have wired it into the locker switch.

Dobie, do you remember if you used a FJ Cruiser fog light switch? Onur said there is no fog light switch OEM that fits on the left of the 100, IIRC.

I want to get the one that has the indicator light on it, looks like this one in the lower left. Light comes on when the button is depressed. Reason being that these switches are somewhat hard to tell when they are on or not just by looking at them or feeling them. At least they were when i had them in my FJ. If someone wanted to control them independently but still have the OEM look, you could get the RR diff lock switch for the FJ Cruiser. You can black out part of the R to make it look like an F for a FR diff locker switch as well.
