I think Darren in AU has his own part number for fox shocks that are a direct bolt-in. Also King makes shocks that are bolt in for the 100. Between the two brands its a chevy vs ford kinda thing.

Tundra shocks wont work on the 100, they suspensions are nothing alike
 
I use them, 6.5" fronts and 10" rears
 
I have 2" remote reservoir dampers, 6.5" fronts, the rears are converted jeep units, 10" travel shafts retrofitted, so they are pin tops eye bottoms. I also have the 8 clicker rebound adjusters.
 
I run 2" remote reservoir Fox front and rear. You need a pin adapter on front, no biggie. For the rear can use FOX 980-02-417-A, they are for 2006-2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Rear Shocks, they are bolt in. Also the rears have reservoir mounted piggyback style.
Added the clicker valve to fronts for adjusting compression stiffness.
The shocks ride better than OEM or OME, have better feel across wider range of terrain.
The Tundra shock are coil over units.

Where do you get the pin adapter for the fronts? And how hard is it to exchange?

Front shock is a 980-99-030-A, Pin adapter is a Pro Comp part # 690001. On front running a 16" limit strap. Also I am running Carl's UCA and on mine the pin adapter was a 1/2" too long to get full travel, so had hole welded and re drilled.
 
Hi Skidoo, thanks for the great info. I could probably look it up from your build, but what TB and rear springs are you using to compliment your Fox setup? Thanks!
 
OME TB and rears are 866 w/ Airlift bags. Trips range from solo, to 4 of us w/ gear, so weight is all the over place. Slee rear bumper and drawers.

Are they available in the US?

Darren fits a range of Fox shox including some remote reservoir, to Landcruisers, Prados and even Nissans here in Australia, I am sure they are made in the US but most likely to his specs. I have been running the Fox setup for 2 years now and have done 2 serious outback trips with them, their performance is outstanding on our endless corrugated dirt roads.
 
How do the fox 10" shocks compare to the OME L shocks in the travel, flex, and crawling ability department?
 
OME L shocks have a little more travel compared to the 10" Fox.

74L: 26.4" extended, 15.6" collapsed = 10.8" travel
Fox 2.0 w/remote 10": 26.10" extended, 16.10" collapsed = 10" travel
Fox 2.0 w/remote 11": 28.10" extended, 17.10" collapsed = 11" travel

No real benefit to go with a mono-tube type shock like the Fox if you're just looking for slow speed articulation (other than the external diameter of the body 2.0" Fox compared to OME allows more down travel potential in front). The main benefit of the Fox shocks really comes at speed, washboard, etc. and the ability to tune infinitum.

Also, what exactly limits the front wheel droop?
 
Down travel in the front is limited by the extended length of the shock, and the control arm ball joints.

I believe that Carl also said the UCA can come in contact with the shock with too much droop. That may be why the limit strap is needed when running the Fox shocks up front? (guessing here).

10" 2.0" with remote in back; 6.5" 2.0" with remote in front. Limit straps in front. Without some type of additional down travel/extended limit in front the ball joint or spherical bearing (Carl's UCA) takes the load.

I'd like to have an adjustable bump type stop in front as the limit straps, even the good ones in triple layer, stretch and are almost impossible to calculate the proper length. And throw in the stretch factor and its a total crap shoot.
