Four wheel feels weird, any ideas?

Okay, I know you're not supposed to drive on the road in 4 wheel, but when it's blizzarding and you've got to go somewhere there's always dry patches behind trees or buildings. Anyway, when on the dry spots for only a moment it felt like not all four wheels were spinning at the same speed. Is it meant to be that way? Or is there something wrong with my 4 wheel?

going straight?

In a corner?

You have lockers?

If you do not have a locker or limited slip type device in the front or rear axle, then you potentially will have one tire spin and one tire do nothing on each axle when in a slippery condition like mud, ice, snow.

Going strait, and no lockers. But it only feels like this on dry pavement.

I drive in mix, snow and dry pavement (blowing snow, patchy roads) whenever I hit a section of road that seems to be clear, I'll drop it back into 2WD, hit a snowy section, back to 4WD. (obviously though there are spots between) I don't notice anything odd when on these "dry" sections. Are both your front hubs locked properly? Did someone install different gears in the front?

I sure hope they aren't different gears. All I know from the PO is that the windsheild is new, and he tinted the windows. While things like that are nice, repairing mechanical problems are the first things on my list. Usually.

Driving on dry pavement in 4WD with the front hubs locked on a stock 60/62 is no problem. Have you checked your tires to make sure they're the same size, have relatively equal wear, & are at the correct pressure?

You could also have a dragging brake. Jack the wheels up 1 at a time & spin them.
