Okay, So I am new here, been looking for a couple of months on this site and fell in love with the m101's and m416's!

Here is what I found today, courtesy of my G/F!

The tailgate works great just had the rope on there because at the moment of towing I could not get it on.

All in all... not an M anything, but it still looks cool and need just a bit of work, which I will GREATLY BE NEEDING FROM EVERYONE HERE!!!

Hey,
You might try to sell that to a truck restorer, those are hard to come buy in real good shape. I've seen-um bring pretty good money,:beer: Enough to spend on a good m416!

Is the libby a 3.7 or CRD?

I have an '05 CRD which I absolutely love!

Those old chevy beds are nice, but I would get the steel out of thee and check on the wood in the base of the bed... may need some repair.

a 3.7 b/c i was not really aware of the crd at the time. I wish I had gotten a crd though!

Nothing wrong with the 3.7's, if it were not for them the CRD's would not have the option for the "snorkel" air boxes ;)

Get some pics with all that crap out of the bed! (taken to the local scrap/recycle yard of course)

On a side note, there is an M101cdn on ebay for under $600 right now.

Enough Heep talk - don't contaminate the place :flipoff2:

Is that what they were talking about?? what's CRD? - 3.7?? :meh: if its heep nevermind
A "Libby" is a Liberty. It is Heep talk.

Won't be the first Heepers to have a kewl trailer build here but maybe the first to discuss their little Heep motors here.

Its all good dude, its all good!

rip, simmer down. It's most likely bustin chops, the Heep-LC rivalry has been going on a looong time. I'v owned both... be respectful that this IS an LC site.

Your trailer is an early to mid 60's stepside.. yours being a rarer longbed. I have a short bed version. Those fenders may bring a few bucks when sold.

Look underneath, you'll see a coil suspension.. i was pleasantly surprised when i saw it on mine. After some research i found that a rear TJ coil can be used to adjust height. The Chevy guys are using stock TJ coils for a 3" drop.. in my case i need a 3" lift.. so i need 6" TJ coils.

I like that the box is a bit larger than an M-416. I can use the capacity. Heres a pic of mine as i picked it up.. not much has been done to this point. Eventually a new axle, and possibly frame to lighten it up.

Yep it's Heep talk.

CRD = Common Rail Diesel, a rare Jeep Liberty.

I would have bought an FJ-Cruiser if they optioned a diesel engine in the states. I have always loved the older FJ's (4x, 5x, etc) but I need the more "wife friendly" vehicle.

I love all vehicles on the road, and atleast we are not talking about those ultra offensive Patrol's!!!

i know... i was just playing!
I am going to sell the trailer and get what I really want!

$600 buy it now and already has the tail-gate installed!

Keep an eye on ebay...

1967 Military 3/4 Ton Trailer:eBay Motors (item 230379633159 end time Sep-26-09 20:21:13 PDT)

listed as a 3/4 ton trailer, because the ID plate is not correct for the trailer.

Military 1/4 ton M416 Trailer:eBay Motors (item 280399182987 end time Sep-25-09 18:09:31 PDT)

A little overpriced, but I can pick it up for ya, as it is across town from me.

There was a M416 on ebay last week that was just listed as "military trailer" with a no-reserve price of $500, with no bids. Just keep your eye open and I am sure you will find one.

Sombody doing a resto or a rod will pay fair dollar for that for sure. Imagine it was an FJ45 bed - it could be worth a couple grand :meh:.

THose first two look like decent deals but what is up with that extra hitch on number 2????

The third one is a bit too much scratch IMO.

And yea - I was just bustin' your chops about the Heep talk. I didn't know the Liberty was available in a diesel:hhmm:
