My dad bought this God knows how long ago, never used it and gave to me when I moved out. Figured it could come in very handy for when I'm able to strip down the 62's lift gate and repaint it. Anyone used one of these? Thoughts/advice?

I think I still have one of these too.

Sears Best usually means not that great. :(

Likely work as a primer gun.

Well damn. Was hoping this would be a decent spray gun for home body work. Maybe I would do well to have a body shop do the work after all, or at least the paint anyway.

Yeah really you should use a LPHV top loading spray gun for doing body work. Just remember them being much easier to load/store and less chance of getting air through the pickup.

Try it before discounting it.

If nothing else I'll do the sheet metal work and try to prime it with this gun. At least if the gun doesn't work perfectly I can still block & wet sand to smooth the suface out and then have the body shop do the topcoat. If it does look like it'll work well, I'll try having some topcoat mixed and give it a go myself.
