I have a 78 FJ40 that failed state emissions test (CO and hydrocarbons too high - probably a too rich carb problem). I need to have the carb adjusted or rebuilt and don't have the time to do it right now and need to get the FJ registered. Can anyone out there help with a recommendation? Thank you.

There is another shop on the front range that might know a thing or two about landcruisers, Slee. Slee is in Golden. Robbie "powderpig" on mud is one of the best toyota mechanics in the US, and I think he has a shop in Boulder these days.

Yep, Robbie or Christo are the only ones that touch my LC's. However, neither one likes working on the 40 series. There better for 80, 100 or 200 series LC's...

There is a guy in boulder that charges a flat rate to do carb adjustments until it passes. Search for it on the rising sun forum.
