Just curious if anyone has thought about a date for Fordyce this year?

I want to do it again, but unfortunately need to plan 6 months ahead to assure the weekend off. Last year was a fluke.

I'm thinking the 3rd weekend in July-starting on Friday?? Then beat the crowds to the good camp site on the river, stay Saturday with wheeling on the trail, or fly fishing and leave Sunday am?

It looks like this will be another low water year, so July should do it.

Rusty-If you see this, how did the knuckle tool work for you? I thought it was cool and kind of fun.

We set up our trail run schedule at the last meeting. I'm pretty sure Fordyce was on there. As soon as Mike post the meeting minutes I'll make a thread and stick it to the top of the forum. I don't think we got closer than what run was on what month, we could probably nail it down to a date though.

I haven't finished the rear axle yet. I got the "while your at it bug" and rebuilt my spring packs. I added a couple of leafs back in. You will be pleased to know I'm replacing all my spring u-bolts and center pins. I'm hoping to get the whole rig back together in the next couple of week. Let me know if you need the tool back sooner.

Good-Your springs were sketchy, so it sounds like a good plan. If you drill the holes a bit bigger, you can run a stronger pin. Keeping your U-bolts tight is also a good idea, or at least that's what I hear.:D

I'll look forward to seeing what the schedule is. My goal is to hit Rubicon June and August, then Dusy and Fordyce. Don't know if the 60 will be ready or not.

Look for a PM as well.

Hmm, I might have to fly in and ride if I can swing it....might have to get a job by then..dang it..

No news on the toy box yet?

I think my rig is full but there are usually open seats.

Maybe you can give us a blow by blow of your trip with Jack and Mike. I've heard a lot of stories from that trip.

Hey, I'm good to go. Hopefully Jack can get "Drippy" together in time.

Dude-Don't do it. You are living the dream.....

Im scared of this run...Ive heard that my rig would be okay, but ive also heard that I should have the dual cases in for it too.Jack and I were discussing a day trip on the first part of the trail...Id really like to see it.K

Is there a thread on Fordyce that lists vehicle requirements? Can you get a fullsize rig in there? Not worried about body damage, but worry that it won't fit between the trees or the rocks.

If we do go and I have an empty you are welcome to roll with me. You would be good, you have the front locker and longs plus the auto. A doubler would be nice but you would be great in your setup, just like a front locker would have been great for me on round one.
Thanks D!I remember you saying that a front locker would have come in handy on that trail. Id hate to do a ride along and kick myself for not having commanded my own boat. Im gonna do it one time or another wether its site unseen or having been as a passenger.K

Had a buddy that took a fullsize dodge short bed through and then transferred the driveline over to his ramcharger, did it numerous times. He didn't get a whole lot of damage. Just make sure you have rock sliders. That is all the way through to Meadow Lake.

Now having said that, it has been a couple of years since I have been on the trail, so it could be worse.

I still think you will be fine, as easy of a time as you have running Deer Valley and Rubicon, you should be good to go on Fordyce. I think you would be upset with yourself if you rode passenger.

If you want to ride with me the offer still stands.

Like everybody said I think you would be fine in your rig though.

OKAY...Im in!K
