How did you do mount it, what type of tank did you use, how does it work and would you do it again? Pics would be a great help. FYI, my trailer is SOA on 35's so I have an assload of clearance underneath. Just trying to get an idea of what has been tried already. Thanks.

Running a 19 gallon poly tank with a skid plate under outs , aft the axle. It's sold my So-Cal Teardrops in Upland CA. It's bolted in with what i think 12 bolts if i remember correctly and has a simple drain cock near the leaf spring that's gravity fed. I've owned vehicles and trailers with motorized pumps and i decided to keep it simple on this one. Nothing to go wrong and after a few trips i know right where to put my pots/pans and my hands to rinse or fill. Easy breezy. The filler neck is from a marine application and so is the breather.

They sell parts too, so the price is for if you bought the trailer. Call them to find out just the price of the tank and skid.

Hope this helps.

You might also check with INCA tanks in Pamona, CA. Good prices and they put the fittings anywhere you want them.

Water tanks

You can see how mine were mounted under the trailer in my build thread, skersfan shuttle pod. I welded in angle iron and supported/sandwiched between the frame and the bottom of the floor. I used a water pump to get it to the shower, sink and hot water heater. Very doubtful a shurflow pump will fail, but if it did it is mounted just inside a sliding door.

I did not do skid plates. Mine is on 35's with a two inch frame and 6 inch drop on my torsion axle. If something hits them I have a lot more problems than the water tank breaking is my guess.

On my production trailers I will have skid plates though as I do not want to work on them if some does hit something.

I ordered mine from Plastic Mart and designed them just the way I wanted them. I forgot the front air vent, (DUH) but the back one seems to allow it to work. I have two 11 gallon tanks with 6 gallons in the water heater. The next ones will be bolted in.
