for those of you with metal tech tube door mirrors

I am looking for a set of mirrors to use on my 80 series tube doors that I am making. Interested in comments that anyone might have on the mirrors that metal tech sells for use with their tube doors. Anyone have any thoughts?

My experience with them is "good", they are easily adapted to get the right position and functioned well. Nothing fancy, just functional...

My metal tech tube door mirrors suck. At 40 MPH they fold down. I know for a fact I'm not the only one this is happening to. I need to take them apart and see if i can tighten them so they can stay upright.

Presuming MT still uses the same mirrors as the ones I purchased years ago...Yes, you can adjust/tighten the mirrors so that they don't do this. At least, I was able to get them snugged down to not move once adjusted...

That's great to hear. Is it inside the boot where I adjust them?

Yes, there is a nut to snug up in there...

I figured it out. Mine had 2 screws that just needed to be tightened. I hit 65 today and they held up great. I just needed to take the time and look at them. Off to figure out a way to keep them on year round!

aren't they just jeep YJ/TJ reproductions? I bought a pair for $20 on Craigslist and smash them into trees every time out. They just collapses out of the way instead of crunch list FJ mirrors LOL.

My has failed in the mirror selection they suck mine can't go any tighter and they would just fall for any thing. Junky mirrors For tbe price if the doors ,

I have warrior tube doors and mirrors, sorry to say I haven't installed them yet and probably won't now until the spring but I can tell you I have warrior tube doors for my 40 also and from what I seen I wish I would have bought Metal tech doors, I hate the latch/ striker assembly.

I have the WP doors and adapted the cheap Jeep mirrors to fit on them. I am on my second set because I broke the first set from over tightening them. It didn't matter how tight I got them they would always fold at highway speeds. I really like the WP doors however. They work as intended and I like the fact that I don't have to adjust the striker with them.
