Yeah except the price! there about the size of a matchbox but cost around$25 for the decked out ones. Although.. I cant say much I paid quite a bit for my Johnny Lightning FJ45 "matchbox" style truck. It is very detailed though. Hood even opens and motor looks real!

I looked at those on the other toy thread. They remind me of STOMPERS when I was a kid.
I still have a couple of gen 2 that look like this and some of the older gen 1 style.

That brings back memories. I had a bunch of Stompers when I was a kid. Mine were the ones with the tall skinny foam rubber tires. They would climb just about everything.

I have the Matchbox 40's in: dark blue, sky blue, red,orange, zebra stripe, yellow, and the black Anaconda tour.
A blue fj45, yellow and red bj40's from johnny lightning.
blue 40 with some kind of light bar, think its a tomica and A black Arican safari by marjorite and of course the big boy by ebbro
and a couple of the "MBX" trucks that look like fj40 buggies

scored 2 more of the dark blue 40's at wally world last night. Cant help myself. Every time I see one I have to get it. I'm still looking for the limited edition green fj40 that matchbox has out. Think its a lesney edition.

I bought the dark blue 40 at Target last night. They also had a zebra striped 40, but it was in a multipack and I didn't like the rest of the trucks.

Ok, so I was stuck at the house after my surgery so I hobbled out to the garage and got creative with one of my matchbox 40's

I drilled out the rivets to get the tubs off. The bib and the tab on the back had to be filed dow a little. The under carriage from the mbx buggy fit onto the 40 tub pretty easy. I had to re shape the rear wheel wells to fit the bigger tires. Got to love a dremel tool. A little glue and all set. Added a roof rack I cut off a donor matchbox.
