I have a set of 80 Series Rims that I need to get rid of… I'll take $150 for all 4, I just want them out of my garage. They have Michelin 275x70R16's on them that have about 20% tread remaining.

Thinking about getting new tires before my Nitto Trail Grapplers wear out...they still have about 30% of tread on them.

Would anyone want to buy them at a good price if I was to sell...maybe $200 for all 5 tires? They are 285/65 x18...no sidewall cuts, no chunking, nothing. I rotate them every 3-4k miles and have about 35,000 miles on them now with guessing a good year left if rotated like I did...easily or even more actually.

If not will likely just run them until they are bald and replace...but would be good way for someone to get some awesome tires for cheap and go a year or two before having to replace.

Just a thought...

BTW....planning on getting another set of Trail Grapplers but in different size...little narrower and little taller (275/70x18) or going to Cooper Discoverer ST or STT Tek3 in that size.

RON,

Lets see a review on your current tires. I am interested in the mileage you have gotten out of them. One of my friends has the step below your tires the A/T type and they handle the weight and the work he does with his Chevy 2500 very well. I am a BFG guy because of the sizes but I would always switch for something better if it is cheaper.

What is your vehicle weight
What is the side wall and tread thickness
Load Class
Noise level
Balance of the tires overtime

-- vehicle weight...not sure but thinking should not matter as none of your vehicles are as heavy as the UZJ100. Thinking 6800lbs if I remember right.

-- sidewall and tread thickness...what do I look like, Nitto engineer. Tire is a 10ply tire...think that means 3 in sidewall and 7 on tread side. Tread thickness is rated at 18.3mm....do the math to inches.

-- E rated load class 3750 per tire....15000 total load capacity

-- Quietest mud terrain ever driven (ground hawg, KM2, Swamper, Dunlop)....requires regular rotation of all tires and I recommend every 4000 miles at minimum.

-- Tires have not needed rebalancing since I bought them...they are aggressive so you feel every lug of the tires at slow speed...and they do make a little noise. If you ever feel them getting more vibration that means you likely went to long between rotations.

I have rotated all 5 tires in a reverse-cross pattern consistently since I bought them new. Had 139,000 miles on truck then....I have 180,000 now....and still have 30% tread I would guess but you can measure it yourself if interested.

They are mud terrains...they are not going to give as good a ride as an all weather or all terrain...they are going to be noisier than most any all terrain...but they are going to be quieter than most all the competition from what I have seen the past few years. I only ran stock tires the first month or two...been on these ever since.

I had the Terra Grapplers on my Dodge Cummins 2500 Turbo Diesel 4x4...no issues. Same company and same load class...so not seeing how these would be any worse or better...would think very similar results.

Any more questions you will need to use google to figure it out...or read the posts in my build thread or come see them yourself..hahaha You sure you not related to Bessinger with those questions?

For us and other members this is good info. You know tires is one of those items people always ask about.

Thanks Ron

Enjoy your Veteran's Day

The Terra Grapplers don't come in 15inch I was going to give them a shot on 4 Runner but I will stick with my BFG's.
