For sale or trade 1985 FJ60 178,XXX miles new paint job OME lift 35 inch km2 bfgs with 75% tread new aussie lockers front and rear interior in good condition this is my daily driver I drive over 100 miles a day truck is very dependable
The truck came from Texas originally I bought it about 2 years ago from south Florida when I bought the truck it would kinda run. I towed it home and took the truck completely apart fixed wiring issues and replaced misc parts the oil pan gasket valve cover gasket put a new clutch radiator,weber carb,Fan clutch,exhaust system power steering pump I removed the guts of the smog pump adjusted the valves put a brand new OME lift on it wheels and tires aussie lockers front and rear.
When I had the trans out I painted it black and installed a twin stick set up for the transfer case.
About 4 months ago I painted the truck I completely striped the hood roof rear hatch and tailgate there was no real rust issues I did this because the original paint was peeling I also sandblasted the drip rail and applied 3m seam sealer to replace the original seam sealer fixed all the small dings and dents and let the truck sit for 2 weeks so there is zero shrinkage issues then did the final blocking and sprayed the truck with a high quality Base coat/ clear coat I sprayed three coats of clear.
The stuff that needs fixed still is It needs the rear main seal replaced again the power steering box needs replaced or rebuilt and I have not messed with the ac system at all so I am not sure what it will need and its time for a brake job
I plan on fixing the power steering and doing the brakes as soon as I get all the parts should be within a couple of weeks at that time I will mess with the ac system as well
This is my daily driver I just made a 320 mile round trip last week to look at a boat for sale I am still up in the air if I am going to sell it because I know I could not replace it the only reason why I am considering selling the FJ is because it cannot pull my air boat that well
