Thanks for the clarification Pimp,
I don't want to beat this to death, but I'm still confused as to what I should do next.
This project originally started as a simple thermostat replacement, drain and refill. But after I saw the condition of all the hoses decided to replace them while everythign was drained. Now my truck is sitting with no coolant in the rad, lines, or block. What would the best next step be?
1. Could I run a hose over to the rad neck fill it up until starts backing back out, open both drain cocks, start the engine, run wuth both heaters on hot, and let it flush everything out. When the water runs clear, turn the waterhose off, drain the excess water, close the drain cocks, and fill the system back up new coolant through the rad. spout?
OR
2. Could should I just fill the system up with fresh coolant through the rad. spout until it is full, start the engine, and burp the system?
Thanks for helping a noob,
Chris
