Cross-posting from Gear/Equipment — hoping for more visibility here since I don't have any replies yet.

I’ve got some body rust spots in the floor pans of my 1996 HZJ75 Troop Carrier and looking for a community shop around Seattle that I can work out of to do a couple days of work at this summer to do the repairs. I plan to cut, grind, and MIG weld in a couple metal patches. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Does anyone have experience with ALTSpace MakerSpace in Georgetown? Seems like a good option but not sure if I could get a single month membership, or if somebody with a membership could help with letting me buy a guest day pass.

This will also be my first body welding job on the troopy, I am open to advice if someone has experience here. Mainly with what metal sheets or thickness to create floor patches with, forming it to the shape of my floor pan, and what paint and primer you recommend. Thanks.
