rear main seal on crankshaft, does crankshaft supposed to have a groove at where rear main seal is at?

No. The seal surface of the crank should be smooth and the seal itself should be flush with the top boss of the bearing cap.

I have been told that the seal surface of the crank is replaceable, but it requires removal of the crank.
