fj80 to fzj80 seat swap

Hello, I was curious to know if the seat bolt holes matched between the early and late 80s.

I think so, the 80 series newbie guide on here in FAQ was posted directly from Slees website. It gives a rundown of differences starting from 90-92, 93-94, 95-97. Check it out. If no help, you can always ask for some measurements.

Yes they do. The only differences are the seat belts... I'm on my phone right now but there's a thread or two out there about this.

Busmup808 and I swapped my leather for his cloth interior a few years ago.

I put front manual seats from a Pre 93 into my 94 with no issues. The seat belts are different as already mentioned but if you get both the clasps and latches (or whatever they are called) then you can replace both by just unbolt/bolt in. I did that with the second row seat belts and they work fine.


Also, I kept the tilting headrest from the 94 seats and they fit right into the pre 93 seats.

Then I bought seat covers.
