what are you going to do for a motor? You beat me by one day on this. Parting one out right now in GJ if you need anything for yours.
Are you parting out a vehicle with a good engine? If so, I'd definitely be interested. Might need a few other things as well, and I will certainly have extra parts if you need anything, too.

I've been tearing everything out of this truck, and finally got the carpet all out. I just need to finish getting that insulation crap out of here now. Dash is next, hopefully.

Pm'ed you my number, yes my part out has a good engine, also have an aussie locked rear axle

Finally got some body work done on that quarter panel. Ignore the paint, that's just on there so it doesn't rust.

Done without any body filler, and smooth enough to look great after a coating of bedliner.

really nice work on that fender.

i thought I'm crazy having 2 LCs . my 94 is my wheeling rig and the lx450 is my family car. i feel better now lol.

Lately I've been working on dropping the fuel tank so I could start cutting, but it was still half full. I didn't want to just take the plug off and have the gas drain everywhere, so I got a HF siphon pump and jammed it down the fuel neck to discover just how long the fill tube is... Needless to say, my cheap pump hose wouldn't reach that far.
I decided to go in through the top of the tank since I already had the carpet out, so I pulled the fuel pump and inserted one end of my hose into the tank, another into a 5 gallon gas container. I ended up pumping out around nine gallons, which took about an hour.

Nice and dusty

Now I should be ready to start disconnecting everything from the tank

Check out the Slee short bus and the vlakvark if you're looking for ute ideas

You'll be miles ahead of my 4x4 propping up a tarp with bungie cords! Once the sunroof assembly is out (consider an extra set of hands, it's not light!) you'll be amazed by how much room there is.

I'm looking forward to your progress. Check out the Hobart welders, they look like decent rigs for the money.

Finally dropped the fuel tank. I figured I could do a few more things to get the rig prepared to be chopped, but now the only thing I really have left to do involves taking the windows out, and I can't do that until I get that shelter set up.

If anyone is looking to drop some weight, I cleaned about six pounds of dirt from the top of this tank and inside the guard [emoji23]

I just want to keep track of how much money I've put into this build, so that's all that this post is about.

Purchased for ($320)
Titled for ($30)
Purchased tow rope for ($30) to pull home
Sold a few parts for (+$150)
Found (+$17.70) in change under carpet
Drained 10 gallons of gas, put in other cruiser (+$15)

Total spent on build so far: $380
Total made from vehicle so far: $182.70

I finally got the cats off, and found the cover full of dirt. Not even sure how this much crud got in here, but I was impressed.

Also discovered why the engine was running so rough:

Just kidding, this engine hasn't even had a battery connected to it in months. This is the first good look I've gotten at the hole though, and it looks like an engine mount was taken out as well [emoji35]

Do you have the lower tailgate release handle? Stock radio mounting brackets? Thanks.

I have the tailgate release handle, but I do not have the stock radio mounting brackets.

Adding to this, I sold $159.09 in parts this week, and I'm waiting to hear back from a local guy about what he wants to pay me for my cats, seats, and carpet.

This means I've spent $380 and made $341.79

I've made 20 bucks from the initial purchase price so far [emoji13]

I just got the moonroof off, even though my "garage" isn't quite complete. The moonroof was leaking anyways, so I decided to remove it and get a tarp on it.

So much headroom! I'm planning on reusing the glass from this, but I'm not quite sure how that will work. That's a problem for future Jason to deal with...

Made a trip out to Harbor Freight today and picked up a tarp, a multimeter, and a set of scrapers (some of you may know what these are for...)

Continuing on with getting the glass out, I got rid of the rear windows. Removal took me a while but wasn't as bad as I had expected.

I was also playing around with different dent removal techniques with little success. I tried the "hot glue and a block of wood" method on my rear door. Nothing productive happened.

It might work in a few specific circumstances, but it didn't do much for my dents.

I finally got the rest of this exhaust out, which took me a long time because every single bolt rounded off [emoji35] I ended up cutting it in half and pulling it off the frame. Now the truck is 60 lbs lighter as the muffler was also filled with dirt
